Opening hours
Due to weather conditions, the Huygens Museum will be closed on Wednesday 7, Thursday 8 and Friday 9 January.
We're open from 12:00 to 17:00 Wednesday through Sunday. The museum is closed on Monday, Tuesday, and national holidays.
Museum closure dates on public holidays in 2026
- New Year's Day: Thursday, 1 January
- Easter (Easter Sunday and Easter Monday): Sunday 5 April and Monday 6 April 2025
- King’s Day: Monday 27 april
- Ascension Day: Thursday 14 May
- Whit Sunday: Sunday 24 May
- Christmas (Christmas Day and Boxing Day): Thursday 25 and Friday 26 December
- Thursday 31 december we are closed at 14.30 hours
Alternate Opening Hours 2026
- Om thursday, February 5, location Hofwijck will close at 16:00 for a private event.
- On saturday, February 28, the museum will close at 15:00 for a private event.
- On Whit Monday Hofwijck will be open for the event: Dag van het Kasteel! Between 10.00-16.00 hours. Prices are half price or Museumcard.
- On Christmas Eve, 24 December, we will open our doors for Lichtjesavond from 17:00 to 21:00. Between 16:00 and 17:00 the museum will be closed.
