Once again this year, the Huygens Museum is taking part in Museum Night The Hague. And this year’s edition will be extra special! Throughout the night, the Notarishuis will be entirely dedicated to Voorburg’s pop history, whilst Hofwijck will be filled with the most delightful scents thanks to a perfume bar.

Our mocktail master will jazz up the bar with drinks inspired by the 1960s and 1970s. Sip your way through the flavours of this iconic era while enjoying performances by up-and-coming pop bands from Voorburg or testing your music knowledge in our pop quiz.
The Sound of Voorburg: Live music in the museum
In the 1960s and 1970s, Voorburg had a vibrant pop scene. Dozens of young people formed bands, inspired by the latest pop and rock music from England. Even well-known bands found their way to Voorburg. During Museum Night, discover this fascinating music scene and enjoy performances by young musicians from the region. Dive into the history of music, discover new musical talent, and enjoy live music in the museum with a delicious mocktail in hand.
Perfume Bar: Eau de Hofwijck
Ever heard that people in the past all smelled terrible because they didn’t shower? Nonsense! At least, not if Constantijn Huygens had anything to do with it. He created his own perfumes and loved experimenting with different scents and techniques. During Museum Night, you can follow in his footsteps at our special perfume bar, where you can create your own fragrance. Take home a unique Museum Night souvenir: a perfume blended by you.

The historic library at Hofwijck provides the perfect backdrop for the most memorable photo of the evening. Surrounded by centuries-old books from Constantijn Huygens' collection, you can capture a unique Museum Night memory.
